GREAT ESCAPES - "Vice Versa" LP

'Vice Versa' is the third and latest offering from Great Escapes. After five years of semi-hiatus largely due to the pandemic, the emo/punk trio out of Münster, Germany, inspired by the world changing in front of their eyes, delivers 10 tracks of introspective, somehow optimistic melancholia.

'Vice Versa' showcases a band that doesn't smooth over its rough edges or hide its insecurities. Between melancholy, punk energy, and cautious optimism, they've created an album that works precisely because of its contradictions." - Frontstage Magazine

This first album in five years is more than just cerebral lyrics wrapped in melodic songs. Because in the end, through the sound and all the hidden messages of perseverance, you find a hand patting you on the back. Everything will be alright. Somehow. And what could be better suited to that than these songs and the current times? - Handwritten Mag
